The Australian Open marks the start to the Grand Slam season. Held in the Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena, the Australian Open attracts sizable crowds, second only to the attendance at the U.S. Open. In the early days of the tournament, the Australian Open had trouble attracting international players due to Australia’s remote location. Now, you can charter a private jet to Melbourne Airport to land just 22 kilometers from the court. Tickets are available at this link.

Now, the tournament is often referred to as “Roland Garros” after the famous French aviator for whom the host stadium is named.
